Borrowing a Car

Did you ever wonder why you should never loan your car to a friend? This is definitely an interesting topic and if you often borrow your car, then you might want to read this post. One might think that borrowing a car to a friend or family member is a sign of friendship and should be done as often as possible. I am not saying that you should never borrow your car, but there is always a chance of an accident and that has to be taken into account. Is the person to whom you want to loan your car willing to pay for any potential damages resulting from an accident? Can you trust the person to whom you are lending your car? This is something to think about, because even if your friend has good intentions he might simply not have enough money to pay you in case of an accident. Even if you have insurance it might not cover you if someone else is driving your car. If you always drive your own car, then your insurance should definitely cover you, but I would not be so sure in case of someone else driving in your car. Make sure to ask your insurance company if you have any doubts.
