BlogRush and Traffic?

You might have heard about BlogRush in the past. The website promoting BlogRush is closed now and the program no longer exists. Many people referred to BlogRush as a scam, and probably they were right to do so. BlogRush allowed people to put widget on their blog displaying the top posts from the blogosphere. If you implemented this widget on your site, it displayed links to other people posts, but in turn other people would display links to your posts. It sounds good, but in practice, you would probably not receive a lot of traffic. If you would not have many referrals, you would probably receive 0-2 visitors per day, while having many referrals could increase this number to 5-20 visitors. The only problem is that this is a very similar system to pyramid schemes, where the people with the most users below them benefit the most. So if you would plan on acquiring many referrals, this program might have worked for you, but otherwise you would not receive a lot of traffic with companies like BlogRush. BlogRush is a history now and no wonder that it ended. Even though it does not exist anymore, beware of other types of programs similar to this one, which will cost you a lot of time and effort. You might not even realize it, but participating in such opportunities like BlogRush might cost you plenty of time which could be used while doing something else.
